WE KNOW THAT BEFORE YOU COME TO A CHURCH YOU HAVE SOME QUESTIONS. WE WANT TO BE ABLE TO ANSWER SOME OF THOSE FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS.

HOW LONG IS THE WORSHIP SERVICE?

Our worship service starts are 10:45 AM and we usually end about 12:00 PM or 12:15 PM.

WHAT IS THE PREACHING LIKE?

At Ralph Avenue we are dedicated to expository preaching. This means that we go through a passage of Scripture verse by verse, taking out what God intended for us to understand. Even if we aren’t preaching a book of the Bible, we always take a passage of Scripture and preach it with God’s intent in mind. You can listen to our sermons here.

WHAT IS WORSHIP LIKE?

We believe that worship is an integral part of the Christian life. It involves complete submission to God’s rule and reign in our life. When we join on Sundays, we worship by being with each other, praying together, reading Scripture together, hearing the word preached together, and singing together. Our music style is primarily singing of hymns which proclaim the gospel in its lyrical content. We desire that whatever we sing we are directing our hearts towards the One who died for us. In all, worship is our response to who God is and what he has done through Jesus.

WILL I BE PRESSURED TO GIVE MONEY?

We don’t ever expect new guests to give at our services, we want our service to be a gift to you. Each week we do take up an offering to further ministries and missions of Ralph Avenue. This is the time where our members give as an act of worship and to support the church family.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Whatever is comfortable for you! Modest clothing is all that we ask. God isn’t concerned with what you wear, but the condition of your heart.

WHAT IS THERE FOR MY KIDS?

We have a nursery for your young children on Sundays at 9:30 AM. We also have a Kids Class (1st-5th Grade) and a Student Class (Middle and High School Students) that is at 9:30 AM. These classes are available so that you can grow deeper in God’s word with other people in your same walk of life, but also so that your children can be with friends and learn God’s word together. During our morning service we believe that family worship is very important, so we ask that all families to be present in worship together. If you have younger children that need to be attended to, we have a room that you can be with your children but still see and hear the worship service.

WE WOULD LOVE FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY TO JOIN US. WE WANT TO BE ABLE TO MEET YOU, SO COME EARLY TO THE SERVICE AND WE WILL HAVE SOMEONE TO GREET YOU.
